Massive landslides hit Kerala's Wayanad district; hundreds feared trapped; 56 dead

Early on Tuesday, massive landslides hit Meppadi in Wayanad district, Kerala, leading to concerns of hundreds being trapped. So far, 56 deaths have been reported. Rescue efforts by KSDMA, NDRF, and Fireforce teams are ongoing amid heavy rainfall. Two Kannur Defence Security Corps teams are also assisting. Control room and helplines have been established by the National Health Mission.
