US in a fix after claims its bete-noire Imran Khan has swept elections in Pakistan

The US will work with the Pakistani government, regardless of political party, to advance shared interests and bolster democratic institutions. The State Department looks forward to strengthening the partnership with Pakistan through democracy promotion, people-to-people ties, human rights, security cooperation, and trade.
