Man kills girlfriend in hotel, posts pic of body as WhatsApp status

A nursing student, Fousia, was found dead in a hotel in Chennai. Her boyfriend, Ashiq, had uploaded a photo of her lifeless body as his Whatsapp status. The couple had been in a relationship for five years and had secretly married. They had a baby in their late teens, whom they gave up for adoption. Fousia had confronted Ashiq about photos of him with another woman, leading to an argument and her death. Ashiq was arrested and Fousia's body was sent for a postmortem.
