Throwback: When Mithun Chakraborty’s wife attempted suicide after finding out about his secret marriage with Sridevi

The tumultuous love affair between Bollywood actors Mithun Chakraborty and the late Sridevi lasted from 1985 to 1988 and was complicated by Mithun's existing marriage to Yogeeta Bali. Sridevi, unaware of Mithun's marital status, filed for an annulment upon learning the truth. Mithun chose not to leave Yogeeta, who had attempted suicide upon discovering the affair. Post-separation, Sridevi married producer Boney Kapoor in 1996, while reports revealed that Mithun had been insecure about their friendship.
