Global warming: 4 districts could go below sea level by 2050

Five years after the first projections made by the new digital elevation model (DEM) produced by Climate Central, a New Jersey-based science organization, that showed parts of central Kerala in a high-risk zone of sea-level rise, the newer version has added more regions in the event of a 1m sea level rise by 2050. The new projections show that the interiors of Kottayam and Thrissur will have to bear the impact.
